Terra Andian (Spectacular wines from Chile)
The Terra Andina range is comprised of four single varietal
wines each made from classic French grape varieties,
the nobel varieties Semmillon, Chardonnay, Merlot and
Cabernet Sauvignon.
Having carefully selected the best wine producing regions
and the best wine producers in Chile, Terra Andina has
developed a strategy of long term partnership with different
wineries in order to control grape selection and to
ensure the highest possible standard of winemaking.
With its Mediterranean climate of warm days and cool
nights, excellent soil and beutiful sheltered valleys,
Chile is without doubt the perfect location for winemaking.
Once the main wine supplier to the Spanish colonies,
by the 19th century Chilean producers had become strongly
influenced by French pratices, planing classic varietals
such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot
Noir. The natural berriers that surround teh country,
the Andes Moutains, the Pacific Ocean, the Atacama Desert
and the Antartic, have precluded any diseases or pests
from being imported into the wine-growing regions.
Thus, through a combination of location, excellent vines
and centuries of experience, Chile now produces some
truly fine wines. Exhibiting true Chhilean 'terroir'
characteristics, the resultant terra Andina range is
truly spectacular.
