Its appearance is elegant, since it has deep granite red colour and moving slowly in the glass its shine is flashed. Its fragrance is properly intensive and spicy as well. Egri Bikaver is dominated rather by aromas reminiscent of fruits, the tastes of blackcurrant, raspberry and a little bit of the green leaf coming from Kekfrankos can be found in the wine. Its classic red wine character is given by its rich and fine tannins.
